Q: How do I enter the Miss Arizona State Pageant?

A: In order to be eligible to compete in the Miss Arizona State Pageant you must first compete in a Local Pageant and win a local title. Here are the links to the eligibility requirements for the Miss Contestants and the Teen Contestants.

Q: I'm interested in competing in a Local Pageant, what do I do?

A: The first step is to contact a Local Director in the area where you reside and get information about that particular pageant. The contact information for every Local Director is posted on the website front page, as well as on the Calendar for those pageants that are scheduled and have not already occurred.

Q: How do I set up my account for the Children's Miracle Network?

A: All contestants must set up their own personal account with CMN. This should be one of the very first things you do when you have decided to run in a Local Pageant. You only need to register once and your account will allow you to then register for any scheduled Local Pageant. It is not necessary for you to ever re-register once you have established your account. That same account will stay in effect from year to year. Click on this link if you need to register on the CMN website.

Q: I'm registered on CMN, now what do I do?

A: Once you have completed your personal registration you will be able to select the Local Pageants that you would like to compete in. A drop-down menu selection is provided that lists all Local Pageants that are currently scheduled. You will recognize the pageant by both its name and scheduled date. Selecting the pageant from the drop-down menu will automatically enable your account for that pageant.

Q: Can people donate to my account on CMN by writing a check?

A: CMN provides an alternative to using a credit card online. Your donors may send a check directly to CMN, but it must also be accompanied with a completed form in order for the money to be credited to your account. The form can be downloaded from your contestant page on CMN.

Q: How do I know if I have raised enough money on CMN to be qualified for competition?

A: Your personal page on CMN reflects your current up-to-date status. Any credit card donations processed online will be posted to your page as soon as the transaction is completed. If donations are made by check, it could take on the order of 2 weeks for the donation to be processed and credited to your account. Only then will it will be reflected in your page status.

If you are receiving donations by check it is important to have your donors send the money to CMN well in advance of your competition date in order for you to become qualified by the pageant deadline.

Q: I've signed up for more than one Local Pageant. How do I know which pageant my donations will go to?

A: Any donations that are made in your account will be applied to the pageant that occurs first on the calendar. Any excess amounts raised will move forward to the next pageant should you not win that particular local title, or will be credited to the State requirement should you win.

Q: I see multiple entries for my name when I try to go through the donation process. What should I do?

A: Multiple entries appear when you have created more than one personal account. Please email the State Administrator when this occurs as it requires administrative access to your account to remove the duplicates. If you are experiencing any difficulties with your account please to not create a new one.

Q: People have told me that they are unable to make donations through the CMN website. What's wrong?

A: There is a known problem that sometimes occurs when people try to make an online donation while using a PC computer and Internet Explorer browser combination. This is a result of a security problem in Internet Explorer that requires an additional setup change. However, the easiest solution is to have them use Firefox or Safari as their browser and the donations can be completed without any problem.

Q: What happens to the CMN donations if I don't win the Local Pageant that I am registered for?

A: Once you sign up for a Local Pageant in your CMN account any donations you receive will be credited to your account. You must raise at least the minimum amount ($100 for a Local Pageant) at least 24 hours prior to the date of that Local Pageant.

Q: I just won a Local Title. Is there anything I need to do in my CMN account to register for State?

A: You do not need to do anything in your CMN account to register for the Miss Arizona State Pageant. The Arizona CMN Administrator will make all updates and certification of you as the winner of that Local Pageant. Your account will then be ready for you to begin raising your additional donations to qualify for the Miss Arizona State Pageant.
